Packers Vs. Falcons Outlook

One of the premier matchups of the NFL season is tonight between the Atlanta Falcons and the Green Bay packers. This battle of NFC foes shows a rematch from the NFC championship game last year in which the Falcons handled the Packers with ease due to the dynamic duo of Quarterback Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. The Packers secondary was derailed by injuries, and the cornerback who was tasked with covering Julio jones that game (Ladarius Gunter) is no longer with the team anymore, which shows an improvement in depth at the position for the Packers. Aaron Rodgers will look to match Matt Ryan throughout every possession as this looks to be a battle of offenses. Expect both quarterback to utilize receiving threats in the forms of Julio Jones, Devonta Freeman for the Falcons, and Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb for the Packers. In the end, I see the Packers pulling out on top this week, as this Atlanta team is not facing the same Packers team they manhandled last year in the playoffs. Green Bay will almost certainly always keep a safety over top to help corners Kevin King and Davon House contain Julio Jones as much as they can. Look for Austin Hooper of the Falcons to have a big game if this is the case, as Ryan will have to look for other ways to get the ball downfield with Jones so heavily covered. The Primetime matchup should prove to be one of the best of the year.

Score prediction: 34-31 Packers
